Beaufort Street feeds ISU until 3 AM — from two doors, four numbers apart

At 117 E Beaufort St., Insomnia Cookies keeps the ovens on until 3 AM Thursday, Friday, and Saturday — its own store page bills it, plainly, as "Warm Cookies Delivered Until 3 AM Daily" (insomniacookies.com/locations/store/1099). Four numbers down the same block, at 121 E Beaufort St., D.P. Dough — "The Official Calzone of College®," per its own site — serves calzones until 2 AM on Friday and Saturday (dpdough.com). When the library closes and the group project is still breathing, this one block of Uptown Normal is the kitchen.

Here is the whole late map, because the decision it changes is simple: it's past midnight, you're hungry, where is still open — and until when?

The 3 AM door — Insomnia Cookies, 117 E Beaufort St. The latest food in Uptown, full stop. Per the store's own listing: Thu.–Sat. until 3:00 AM; Sun.–Wed. until 1:00 AM, opening 11:00 AM (noon Sat.–Sun.) (insomniacookies.com). The menu is cookies, brownies, and ice cream — including the Cookie'wich, a scoop of ice cream between two cookies — and it delivers, so the run can come to the dorm instead of the dorm going to it. This is the answer for the sweet tooth and the study group that wants dessert, not dinner.

The 2 AM door — D.P. Dough, 121 E Beaufort St. The savory counterpart, literally next door. Its own listing: Fri.–Sat. until 2:00 AM; Sun.–Thu. until 1:00 AM, from 11:00 AM daily (dpdough.com). The product is the calzone — the house dough folded over 30-plus ingredient choices and baked to order — which is to say: an actual meal at 1 AM, not a vending-machine compromise. If the night needs food-food, this is the door.

The institution — Pub II, 102 N Linden St. Two blocks north, Pub II has been, in its own words, "a part of the ISU community" since 1974, welcoming "students and residents alike for good food, great drinks and a great time" (pubiinormal.com). Its posted hours run to 2:00 AM Friday and Saturday and 1:00 AM Tuesday through Thursday (11:00 PM Sun.–Mon.). This is the sit-down end of the late map — the cheese-ball-and-a-booth option when the night is a group decision, not a solo run.

How to use it. Before midnight, everything in Uptown is open and this page is trivia. The map matters in three windows: 1 AM (Pub II and D.P. Dough are your last full-food calls on weeknights), 2 AM (weekends: D.P. Dough and the Pub close; cookies carry on), and 3 AM (Thu.–Sat., Insomnia is the last door lit in Uptown Normal). Parents, one practical note: the 3 AM option delivers — the cookie run does not require anybody to drive across town at 2 AM, and the calzone door is a four-minute walk from the Quad-side dorms, not a car trip.
